PCI-1884U
PCI-1884U is a general-purpose communication card, intended for PCI (3.3V or 5V) or PCI-X bus. The card provides four isolated RS-422/485 ports.
The PCI-1884U card is based on the Oxford Semiconductor controller OXmPCI954 that provides PCI bus interface, four efficient UARTs (16C950 standard) and parallel interface in one circuit.
All ports lead to four RJ45 connectors on the card and all four ports provide the optical isolation.
Like any other TEDIA products, the RS-422/485 output circuits provide surge protection (TVS diodes) and termination impedances with fail-safe bias resistors, as advised by many standards (e.g. Profibus).
Useful feature are LED indicators on the card mounting bracket (a pair for every port) providing a comfortable check of the line activity.
