PCE-1611, PCE-1612, PCE-1613 a PCE-1620
The PCE-16xx board series provides optical isolation and signal conditioning of the DAQ cards digital ports.
The boards are intended to be installed into the card slot next to the DAQ card. They serve for TTL/HC signal conditioning of DAQ card digital ports according to the technological requirements, i.e. they provide conversion of signal levels and optical isolation.
The boards contain different set of relay or transistor outputs, isolated inputs, or DIO signals transmitted from the DAQ card without modification as well.
See the table below for details.
All technology signals use D-Sub 25 and D-Sub 9 connectors located on the card mounting bracket. Two flat cables are connected on the rear side of the board handle DIO card port connections.
As shown in the figure and description above, the PCE-16xx boards require a free position in the computer case, but are not connected to the bus slot.
General features
Each interface board contains a combination of two selected variants of signal conditioning circuits.
Relay outputs are designed with miniature switching relays (C type). Relay contacts are isolated from both from the DAQ card signals and each other. Set of eight outputs is connected to D-Sub 25 connector.
Transistor outputs are designed in the PNP topology (i.e. with a common +24V signal) and can handle DC signals only. Set of eight outputs is connected to D-Sub 9 connector.
Isolated inputs are designed for 24V signals of both polarities, after adding the filter capacitors (custom-made option) can process AC signals as well. Set of eight inputs is connected to D-Sub 9 connector.
The last variant is direct connection of DAQ card DIO pin-header with the D-Sub 9 connector located on the card mounting bracket (this alternative works like the cable without signal processing). Set of eight DIO signals is connected to D-Sub 9 connector.
Delivery details
The product packet includes the board with two ribbon cables for connection to the card, documentation is available in the Download section.
