PCI-1472U
PCI-1472U is a general-purpose communication card, intended for PCI (3.3V or 5V) or PCI-X bus. The card provides two non-isolated RS-422/485 ports.
The PCI-1472U card is based on the Oxford Semiconductor controller OXmPCI954 that provides PCI bus interface, four efficient UARTs (16C950 standard) and parallel interface in one circuit.
Both ports at the PCI-1472U card lead to the D-Sub 9 connectors located on the card mounting bracket.
Ports are not isolated, see PCI-1482U card if you need isolated ports.
Like any other TEDIA products, the RS-422/485 output circuits provide surge protection (TVS diodes) and termination impedances with fail-safe bias resistors, as advised by many standards (e.g. Profibus).
Useful feature are LED indicators on the card mounting bracket (a pair for every port) providing a comfortable check of the line activity.
