Since 1994 we have been gaining experience with the development more than hundred of PC add-on cards (ISA, PC/104, PCI and PCI Express) and over 400 types of microcontroller/FPGA boards.
We are not focused on high volume production, but innovating and modifying of existing equipments and boards belongs to our daily activities. Regarding to our own wide and systematic development program we are ready to solve custom applications in short-term periods, using today's best available components and technology. Based on our long-standing experience, when a customer comes with his own idea of the electronic device design, we usually realize that we had already designed similar one before. This saves both money and time.
All activities are based on dozen of experts for hardware development, PCB design, microcontrollers firmware development, FPGA designing, PC software programming including Windows system drivers. Moreover, TEDIA® is not just a "development house", but is equipped with own production technology.

Development department provides:
- ECAD workplace for PCB design utilizing the Mentor Graphics ECAD system
- development systems for the design of FPGA and CPLD (Altera/Intel are the preferred series)
- software development environment for microcontrollers Cortex M3/M4/M7 (types from the STMicroelectronics portfolio are preferred; performance up to 1000 DMips)
- PC software programming including Windows system drivers and Control Web drivers (a Czech development environment provided by Moravian Instruments)
- wide range of measurement equipment including multifunction calibrator to guarantee metrological requirements
- own testing laboratory (see below)
Manufacturing department provides:
- production technology for PCB assembly (pick and place machine Essemtec FOX1 up to 0.3 mm pin pitch and Ultra Fineline BGA; vapor phase soldering technology oven)
- optical inspection using Mantis Elite patented 'eyepieceless' stereo microscope, offering truly superb 3-D imaging and unparalleled levels of comfort
- rework station for unsoldering and repair
- workplaces for manual soldering of THT and SMT components
- precision outgoing quality control of the finished products
Testing laboratory provides:
- temperature & humidity test chamber for the tests according to the EN 60068 standard (the chamber Weiss WKL64 allows to perform tests in the range of -40 to 180 °C and relative humidity in the range of 10 to 98 %)
- measuring instrument for tests according to the EN 61010-1 and EN 60950-1 standards, regarding the safety requirements for electrical equipment intended for professional, industrial process, and educational use (the Metrel MI 2094 multitester allows to perform tests for isolation breakdown voltage of up to 5000 V, protective earth conductor impedance tests, discharge current measuring, etc.)
- we prepare a vibration and shock testing facility according to the EN 60068 standard
The laboratory is utilized by the development department for prototype tests, and also by the production deprartment for routine production tests.
Technologies, we have been already using:
- PCI Express, PCI, ISA and PC/104 industrial standards
- price affordable ethernet 10/100 Mbit/s solution based on Cortex-M microcontrollers; standard TCP/IP stack solution (ARP, IPv4 + IPv6, ICMP, UDP, TCP), support of several application protocols (HTTP and others), used for Modbus TCP devices and gateways
- gigabit ethernet interface based on our own implementation of MAC into FPGA supporting lower protocols from ethernet to UDP with unlimited data throughput (more than 100 MB/s)
- gigabit ethernet interface based on implementation of high-performance professional TCP/IP stack into FPGA supporting UDP/TCP (+ ARP, IPv4, ICMP,...); data throughput reaches up to 50 MB/s)
- USB bus; full-speed and high-speed mode support, USB mass-storage class support (USB flash disk devices) etc.
- special serial synchronous LVDS bus for continuous baud rates of more than 30 MB/s (ideal solution for connecting two nodes)
- serial communication standards as RS-232, RS-422, RS-485; we utilize AI-Bus2 protocol (proprietal MicroUnit series module protocol) and Modbus RTU; more than 10,000 of realized interfaces of microcontroller units and communication cards is a sufficient proove of reliability of our designs
- many other bus types (e.g. CAN, Flexray, SSI, E1 G-703)
- experience with analog television encoding systems PAL and NTSC, our own implementation into FPGA of HDTV, color modes RGB and YUV, composite video signal, S-video
- digital television standards; support of DVI/HDMI
- experience with the GPS receiver signals, e.g. systems for precise time synchronization
- analog signal processing of technological sensors; the modules of the MicroUnit series support all common thermocoupler sensors, resistance sensors, tensometers, incremental sensors, LVDT, ...
- application of high accurate ADC with more than 20-bit resolution or sampling frequency more than 10 MHz
- analog signal generators with direct digital synthesis (DDS)
