MU-136, MU-137
The MU-136 and MU-137 modules are especially designed for applications where a programmable SSI slave is required. Among other applications, both modules can be used to simulate the SSI function of the sensor, including error codes etc.
SSI slave controller supports transfers with CLK frequency in range from 100kHz to 2MHz and allows to configure datalength up to 32 bits with straight binary or Gray code.
Data transmitted by SSI interface is written to the module by Modbus RTU command via RS-485 line always in straight binary code, conversion in-to Gray code is performed by module firmware.
Signal isolation is solved in accordance with the requirements of the SSI slave device, the input SSI channel (i.e. CLK) is isolated by the optocoupler, the output channel (i.e. data) is not isolated.
Additionally, the MU-137 module is equipped with real-time clock circuit (abbreviation RTC) allowing e.g. to back up the power supply failure time. RTC circuit requires a battery and MU-137 can not be supplied for extended temperature range.
