MU-2485
The TEDIA repeaters MU-2485 are intended for galvanic separation of the communication line signals. It enables achieving longer distances and using more communication devices.
By its design, the repeaters are suitable for use in industrial applications. The repeaters are supplied from external source of 10÷30V. Both communication lines are isolated to the power supply and to each other (three-way isolation).
The repeaters provide the circuits for Automatic Data Flow Control (ADFC) at the both RS-485 interfaces. They also provide (like other converters and communication TEDIA PCI cards) overvoltage protection components.
The repeaters MU-2485 is a replacement type for MU-2485/12V and MU-2485/24V. It provides additional features, such as:
- wider range of supply voltage
- termination impedances as an option

Note: The Automatic Data Flow Control (ADFC) feature detects incoming data on both lines and activates RS-485 drives for transmission on the second line automatically.
